Symtomax receives their building permit from the local Portuguese authorities. It was only last June when Symtomax formally applied for their Cultivation license. This coupled with the approval from the local municipality for 95 hectares outdoor cultivation was being seen as a welcome addition to their plans.
Chairman Paul Segal stated “This is fantastic news not only for Symtomax here in Portugal, but for the local community as well. It’s thanks to the local authorities and the mayor for their support and cooperation that has made the whole process an uncomplicated and seamless experience”
Symtomax plan to employ over 70 staff for what is planned as one of Europe’s largest outdoor cultivation grow areas. Portugal has an excellent climate for cultivation and is a member of what is predicted to be the largest regulated cannabis market in the world, the European Union.
